Arambol Beach is located in North Goa and first became popular when people came to it in order to escape Baga and Calangute beach crowd. Today it is famous in its own right and draws several tourists, though not in the quantity that Baga and Calangute do. This is a good beach to visit if you are searching for a place that combines adventure sports in Goa with relaxation. The strong winds on the headlands around the beach make it an ideal spot for paragliding and kitesurfing.

Stretching across a land cover of 790 meters, Mandrem is a small beach in the northernmost region of Goa. It features soft white sand, few sand dunes, and shrub vegetation. As you stroll around, you will see a beautiful lining of swaying palm trees and casuarina bordering the sea. In the northern end, there’s a small cliff separating this beach from Arambol Beach.

The fort stood at its position long back for a military significance during a fight between Portuguese and Marathas, which later lost the value. Surrounded by steep walls, it gives breathtaking views from all the sides including Vagator beach, Chapora river and of course, deep blue ocean.

Panjim is the capital of the Indian state of Goa and the headquarters of North Goa district. Previously, it was the territorial capital of the former Portuguese India. It lies on the banks of the Mandovi river estuary in the Tiswadi sub-district (tehsil). With a population of 114,759 in the metropolitan area, Panjim is Goa's largest urban agglomeration, ahead of Margao and Mormugao. Panaji has terraced hills, concrete buildings with balconies and red-tiled roofs, churches, and a riverside promenade.

The Bhonsles of Sawantwadi kept a sizeable fleet of navy vessels which sheltered in the Tiracol River. The fort initially consisted of 12 guns, a barrack and a chapel.

Redi beach also called Paradise beach is located just 12 kms from Arambol beach,Goa. This is a most spectular beach I have come across with blue water n white sand. Sunset is amazing. There is famous Ganesh temple and maratha Fort at redi, Fort is turing into ruins due to lack of neglence of maharashtra Govt, but the fort is touching the beach and the view from the fort is amazing.

Querim Beach is the sandy coastline of the Querim village of Pernem, Goa. It is the largest northernmost beach in Goa. The beach comprises a long stretch of sand with a few rocky outcrops, rows of trees and a river inlet of Tiracol River. It is located to the north of the Arambol beach, but in order to reach there by foot, one has to walk through the hill and jungle between the Paliem Sweet Water Lake and Querim Beach.

Thivim railway station is one of the main railway stations for North Goa at Thivim It is part of the North South line and almost every trains do have service for this station. While the station has only two platforms, it is the most important stop for trains in North Goa. This is the alighting point for all wishing to go to any part north of the Mandovi river in Goa, the North Goa tourist belt, and the talukas of Bardez and Pernem among others.
